On Friday, schools from boroughs across London came together to decide which school would be crowned London Primary Debating Champions 2018.
It was a fantastic day hosted by Linklaters at their London headquarters. The students enjoyed the opportunity to debate in from of Linklaters employees, and hear about how lawyers use debating skills everyday.
After a fierce day of competition, Carterhatch Junior School from Enfield were crowned this year’s champions.
A huge well done to Carterhatch, and all the schools that qualified for finals day, and thank you to Linklaters for providing such a wonderful venue.
If you teach at a school in London and are interested in taking part in next year’s competition, email Alice. We are always looking for more primary schools to take part, and for local primary or secondary schools to host borough competitions.
