New for 2017-2018: Storytelling Workshop for Key Stage One

We are very excited to be launching a new workshop for the new academic year. This one is focussed on storytelling and is aimed at years one and two (watch this space for a reception version to follow later in the term). The workshop covers listening to stories, expressive reading of stories and creating your own story to share. Let us know your theme for the term and we will adapt the workshop to fit or opt for our standard workshop based around The Rainbow Fish.

It is a half-day workshop and can be booked for £300 (or book for two classes in one day for £450). We have a few dates left in November and December with better availability in the Spring term so do get in touch to book by emailing alice@noisyclassroom.com.

  1. Dear Alice,
I am teaching and developing oracy skills at primary level in a bilingual school in Argentina. But I also tell stories in lower primary and sometimes in years 4 to 6. I have shown my Y6 groups a video showing students of their own age debating and it has been most enriching for us.
I read , here on the website, that you will be offering a storytelling workshop, to which I’d like to enlist. But considering it impossible for me to do so, as I am overseas, I would like to know if you offer any on-line worshops or tutorials. I have used a range of tecniques to tell stories, but I still have soo much more to learn, especially regarding tecniques which engage the listener.
Thank you for setting up this website, I appreciate it very much,
    yours,
    Lynne Davies
