PiXL Six are Up For Debate

We are very excited that after three successful years of running Up For Debate with KS3 students, we are now expanding the programme into KS5.

Debbie has already been offering debate training to teachers through the PiXL network of conferences and there will be more to come. In addition, Noisy Classroom is currently developing resources to support sixth form debating, which will be available for free to all PiXL 6 schools.

The summer term will also see exciting events where students can visit Universities and take part in academic debates, whilst finding out about studying that subject at the next level. The first one of these will be held at the New College of the Humanities on 19 June and will be themed around Economics. If you are a PiXL 6 school and wish to register  your interest for this event, email debating@pixl.org.uk.

If you are interested in Sixth Form debating but are not a PiXL school, Noisy Classroom can offer workshops for students or CPD for teachers: https://noisyclassroom.com/what-we-do/staff-training/. If you want more information about sixth form debating competitions then take a look at our UK Schools Debating calendar: https://noisyclassroom.com/calendar/.
