University of Northampton Outreach Project

We are thrilled to be working with the University of Northampton again this year, to run a debating outreach project. Last week, three Noisy Classroom trainers visited the University and ran debate workshops for students and teachers from ten schools. The teachers go away with a resource pack to support them in setting up a debate club and running sessions over the next few months. All of the schools have the opportunity to upload a video of a debate and get feedback to help them along as they are getting started. In March, our trainers will be back to run a celebration event, where the schools will once again come together at the University to demonstrate what they have learnt in inter-school debates. This is a wonderful project which gives enough support to really help embed a culture of debate in schools.
